stop falling for the Black amerikkkan agenda!

As we are officially just over a month into Trump’s second presidency, the Black amerikkkan agenda seems to be only picking up more steam. As reactionaries panic over the end of DEI, federal layoffs and cutbacks and more “fascism”; the stage has been set for the Black amerikkkans to play a pivotal role in “rebuilding” or “fixing” amerikkka. The nostalgic romanticization of Obama’s time as amerikkka’s first family, Beyoncé and Kendrick’s sudden patriotic wardrobe selection, and a Black captain amerikkka on a Disney screen fighting a president turned red-hulk to save democracy, the u.s. and the world; ahhh the Black amerikkkan agenda is in the midst of a heavy propaganda campaign and we must make it clear to our people! We must divorce ourselves, our feelings/emotions and our allegiance from the u.s. empire. WE HOLD NO STAKE IN THE UNITED STATES OF AMERIKKKA EMPIRE!

We did not build this country. No it was built THROUGH STOLEN LABOR and the LIVES of Afrikans. It is how the amerikkkan empire has continued to build its wealth and world power, through the STOLEN RESOURCES, LABOR and LIVES of Afrikans! I can’t believe, I truly cannot fathom that our ancestors didn’t dream of more for us, their future, than assimilating into the system that was the root cause of their, and now our, oppression.

I hold a deep belief that my ancestors — whether on The Continent, on the seas, in the Caribbean, or in the “new world” — held an intrinsic belief that we should truly be free and return to our natural ways, identity, culture and to have the right to determine how we should live amongst ourselves.

Through my practice in Pan-Afrikanism I believe we should be able to unify as 1 people — AFRIKAN — in order to defeat the enemy, which is the kkkapitalist-imperialist western empires (the united states, france, the united kingdom, UN/NATO, etc).

I believe the example for us to follow in regards to what unity looks like in a modern context for our people, is what is taking place in the Sahel (Burika Faso, Mali and Niger). It is clear to see how the masses of our people within the Sahel region are responding to this current iteration of Pan-Afrikanism and it gives us globally a demonstration of how we can make our politic relatable. The Confederation of Sahel States (AES) is continuously pushing Pan-Afrikanism forward in praxis!

Not only have we seen these Afrikans militarily defeat the west but they are also laying the groundwork for Pan-Afrikanism to take hold as the ideology of the masses on the ground. The continued calls from the streets for the federalization of the AES member-states, proves that our people on The Continent are working to move past colonial nationalism. We can rid ourselves of the oppressors once we push past nationalist ideologies and tendencies that cause friction among our people. We can continue to hold true to our tribal/regional/religious values, beliefs and traditions, but we must unify on a higher level for us to be FREE EVERYWHERE! Let us not allow the colonial-created borders to keep us apart as a people!

What’s truly beautiful to me is that I see how deeply our babies at MXA also hold that deep belief. This semester we have studied the history and struggle of Ayiti, the rebellions of Denmark Vessey, Nat Turner & La Amistad, the indigenous resistance of Hawaii and the Republic of New Afrika. What I have seen from the babies as we have studied these movements for self-determination and land sovereignty is that they too share an inherent understanding of why we should unify and fight. They see how Afrikans share the same oppressors, same struggle and share a similar lived experience as a Afrikan/Black person trying to survive kkkapitalism. They have yet to be swayed by the world to not see themselves as part of the global people, and this is what the empire truly fears.

Once we are able to understand that the number one fear the west has is for the Afrikans in the amerikkkas to see and align themselves with the rest of the colonized and oppressed world. If amerikkka can continue to make Afrikans feel accepted or needed within the empire we will continue to have a vast majority of our people who are willing to turn a blind eye to our people’s global plight.

Unkle sam isn’t our friend, captain amerikkka will never be for us, and the amerikkkan flag under no circumstances (even if they make it red, black and green flag) represents us or our people. In my praxis of Pan-Afrikanism, I am done telling people how to identify or who they are, but I am not above reminding us of just how damaging holding onto the Black amerikkkan agenda is. We must remember the red, white and blue (whether france, britain or the united states) has ALWAYS been an enemy of Afrikans/Black people and be ready to divorce ourselves from any lasting notion that the amerikkkan empire is ours.

Afrika will be free!
